I love our New Zealand landscape, when drawn to a particular scene by colour, contour and shadows, I am challenged to interpret it on canvas. My paintings are about capturing that feeling of a moment in time.

I have wanted to paint all my life but previously have not had the time. I constantly painted in my mind, and now it’s a reality. I began painting in 2007 after my husband and I retired.

In both 2008 and2009 I entered the Yellow Art Awards and both years my works were judged one of the three finalists for the Canterbury cover of the telephone book voted third and second by the public those consecutive years.
